2008 saw the birth of the CEPA staff blog, the CEPA virtual It extends the free conversation that takes place around Merlyn and Ramya’s home cooked meals on the back verandah into the virtual space. In 2008 the blogger posts had titles that read “why is rain fed agriculture not popular?”; “questioning the market? the quantitative?”; “change and why we should (not) love it”; “the cepista culture, catalyst or constraint?”. It was also a forum for discussing activities of another CEPA staff activity, the Film Forum. Supported by a grant from FLICT, the aim of the Film Forum is to engage in thoughtful conversations about conflict related issues, following the showing at CEPA of different films. In 2008 the Film Forum showed three films: War Dance, Darratt and the Battle of Algiers. The discussions that take place after each showing are extended through the blog. |
